She is Noemi Stephannie Guerrero, a senior Organizational Communication student from the University of the Philippines Manila.
Mini-evolution
She first learned to write in cursive when she was in first grade, but using her left hand. Her mom did not want her daughter to be left-handed so she forced her to write with her right hand. Luckily, it was easy for her to unlearn left-handedness and at most, it only brought her momentary confusion.
Today, she is an altogether different person. She will not let you bully her into doing something that is against her will. This is why she ended her stint as a news writer in the official campus publication after investing three-years worth of time, energy, and money. She realized that when her belief system becomes inconsistent with the organization, for example, that she is serving, there is no other way but to let go of it.
Belief(s)
Her strongly held belief, which was acquired in class but was learned the hard way, when it comes to communication is this:
Communication is irreversible. So before hitting the post or send button in any platform, she asks herself: Are you really, really sure?
A corollary to that belief is that if something (or someone) gets too annoying, stay away from it (him/her) for a while.
Another corollary is that if you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut.
Communication facts
The blogger values a lot of her relationships with people she considers dear to her heart, which is why it is a must for her to stay connected. As of writing, though, she limits herself to just two networking sites: Facebook, because it helps her “connect with the people in her life” and Multiply, because it is a “secure, family-friendly media sharing” tool.
She did not totally give up on writing, too. With the influence of her friend, she is now venturing into online writing. For her, it is a lot better than news writing because with it she gets both training and capacity to invest on things, which she’d rather not mention here.
